Makeup Monday 10/21: What’s in my Makeup Bag?

I’ll admit it, I’m a bit of a nosey person. I like to know what people have in their car, I like to know what they keep in their pantry, and of course, I loveeee to know what they have in their makeup bag/makeup collection. So, assuming that I’m not the only one like this, I’m giving y’all a peek of what’s inside my makeup bag that I carry on a daily basis.

Since moving to LA, I’ve changed a lot of things in my daily routine. One of these being, that I now pack a makeup bag with me in my purse. Back home, I could care less what I looked like- and in the off chance that I needed to look good while I was out [duh, I can’t look bad for the cute guy at Starbucks…jk there was no cute guys at home. Sorry], home wasn’t very far away so I could always take a pit stop to my full makeup collection and touch up. Now, living in LA this isn’t quite so easy. Seeing that it takes at least 20 minutes to get to wherever you’re going and usually I am running a bit late, I can’t just stop by my apartment to touch up my makeup. I’ve had to, on multiple occasions, redo my makeup in the car, while changing in the front seat, all while sitting in a parking lot [apparently I’ve lost my dignity as well]. The first time I found myself in this rut, I was scrambling around my car trying to find random makeup thrown around that I could use to touch up my sweaty mess of a face. Now, I come prepared. With my handy dandy notebook…just kidding, makeup bag. This one is from Jouer Cosmetics and is absolutely adorable. The soft pouch holds all that I need, and the pattern distracts from the mess of glitter and bronzer that covers it. I like to think of this as my Mary Poppins bag. It literally holds everything.

Tarte Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Airbrush Foundation [For touching up coverage]

Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer Kit [Because we all get those surprise spots throughout the day]

Buxom Blush in Swept Away [To brighten my cheeks and give a healthy glow]

Jouer Cosmetics Mattifying Translucent Powder [My skin has been crazy lately, and the shine has been ridiculous]

Jouer Cosmetics Sunswept Bronzer [I don’t care that it’s October, I want my summer glow]

Benefit Cosmetics Gimme Brow [To tame my wild brows]

CoverGirl Clump Crusher Mascara [To separate my lashes when they start to lose their bold appeal]

CoverGirl Flamed Out Mascara [For my lower lashes]

Buxom Mascara [Because it’s my favorite]

Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner in Mushroom [My favorite waterline liner, gives enough glow and definition]

Tarte Inner Rim Liner [This is perfect. I don’t often have to reapply because it stays so great]

Kat Von D Saint Liner in Trooper [My eyes sometimes water and so then I need to reapply my signature wing]

WIMMB LipsOther

Nivea Lip Butter in Vanilla & Macadamia Kiss [Makes my lips seriously so smooth, like legit. For reals]

MAC Lipstick in Creme d’Nude [The perfect nude to throw on]

Tarte Bamboo Foundation Brush [For my powder products]

Sigma F64 Soft Blend Concealer [To blend out any concealer]

Bare Minerals Foundation Brush [For more precise coverage touch ups]

So that is everything that is in my Mary Poppins’ makeup bag. I could carry a few more brushes probably since I usually end up using my fingers for my blush which doesn’t really work to well, but for now these products work pretty well. This bag changes pretty much every week, so let me know if you’d want to see another one of these in the future! And let me know what your must have products are for on the go makeup touch ups! Screen Shot 2013-10-09 at 10.01.04 PM
